The partnership with INMED South Africa (https://www.inmed.org.za/) has remained a cornerstone programme for Missionvale Campus, consistently demonstrating the power of modelling adaptive agriculture in a way that strengthens local systems, enhances food security and empowers students and surrounding communities. Working closely with CIPSET and the university’s Department of Agricultural Sciences, the collaboration has deepened over the past year, producing tangible gains in programme integration, shared expertise and a growing ecosystem of institutional and community partners committed to sustainable development. The Department of Agricultural Sciences has been an especially critical partner, helping align academic preparation, career development pathways and applied agricultural learning with the growing demand for contextually relevant, sustainability-focused interventions. The GreenTEC partnership continued to flourish through steady seedling orders that support community agriculture across the metro. This close collaboration between INMED’s aquaponics programme and CIPSET’s GreenTEC initiative has evolved into a well-coordinated working model. These partnerships unfolded alongside INMED South Africa’s broader training and community programme delivery.
